Stilettos and Running Shoes

I’ve been rockin’ the light pink button down, coral pashmina & hot pink flats all day… red nailpolish… making Valentine’s Day crafts, writing valentines, tweeting about it… Gosh, I even wore pink Nike tempo shorts to the gym today at work (um, maybe that was too girly), but I can’t help it. It’s the lead up to Valentine’s Day and I honestly LOVEEEEE this holiday!

There’s something so heartwarming about knowing that today people are expressing their love for all of the special people in their lives - be it their significant other, friends, family, pets, etc. I remember driving home from work last year on Valentine’s Day and saw 3 men over the course of 3 blocks walking somewhere carrying either bouquets of flowers or balloons and you know what - they were smiling and looked so happy! I loved seeing them because it meant that somewhere, someone was about to receive something that would probably make them feel super special, appreciated, and loved. Seeing these men en route to their loved ones made me feel super excited for them, too! 

So although it’s still not technically Valentine’s Day here, I’ve been celebrating all day and think it should be Valentine’s Day every day.  Happy Valentine’s Day!!! May you be surrounded by your loved ones, express your appreciate for and love of them, and share the joy of others!
